What's the Deal With "Si* Mading" of Suzhou, the Tumor of the Software Industry? I Want to Speak Up
Earlier I shared a cracked version of some software on my site, then received a legal email from "Si* Mading's" legal department asking me to remove the download link, so I did. I checked "Si* Mading's" authorization documents and they are indeed authorized in Mainland China, so I modified my program so visitors from Mainland China no longer get download links, and posted an article on WeChat Official Account. But this rogue "Si* Mading" complained about that article, saying it infringed their intellectual property. So I also decided to start speaking up.

Sound Control lets users use a software volume mixer. Sound Control lets users easily and quickly change app volume and selectively apply a system-wide EQ to app audio. Sound Control does this by adding a software mixer to the Mac's menu bar. Security Flaw Found in Apple Mail App — Possibly Exploited by Hackers for Eight Years
According to US cybersecurity firm ZecOps, researchers announced Wednesday that they found two zero-day vulnerabilities in Apple's iPhone and iPad Mail apps. Researchers say variants of these two vulnerabilities can be traced back to iOS 6 released in 2012, meaning hackers have used them to attack iPhone and iPad users for eight years. If a device is infected, the user may not even know they're being hacked.

Developer of Pandownload, a Tool That Bypassed Baidu Netdisk Speed Limits, Arrested — Illegal Gains Over 300,000 Yuan
On the afternoon of April 15, according to the Yangzhou Cyber Police patrol law enforcement notice, the developer of Pandownload, which cracked Baidu Netdisk, was captured and his tools of crime seized. Police learned the software could achieve high-speed download of Baidu Netdisk resources at non-member privileges, causing Baidu losses of up to tens of millions of yuan. Upon investigation, the software developer's illegal gains totaled over 300,000 yuan.
