Recently I’m planning to go get another Computer Rank 2 C certificate. But my laptop is Win 8.1, and the exam requires Win 7 and the Visual C++ 6.0 IDE. However, Visual C++ 6.0 doesn’t install and run well on Win 7, so I found a version that runs perfectly on Win 7 for everyone. If you’re a professional, it’s definitely not enough, but if you’re a beginner just starting out, these features are completely enough for you to play with. Download and extract, run the installer, and after installation, when you run it, Win 7’s Program Compatibility Assistant will pop up — don’t worry, that’s because this program has known compatibility issues, which doesn’t mean it can’t run; it’s just a prompt from Microsoft. We check “do not show again”, then run the program, and that’s it.
