How it works
The tool fires a stream of requests at random subdomains of your domain from the browser, forcing the DNS server to resolve each one. Because every request carries a unique random prefix, the browser DNS cache never short-circuits the test.
Browser concurrency sets the ceiling: one Chrome tab tops out at about 250 TPS. For more pressure, run this tool in several tabs or on machines in different regions at the same time.
When to use it
- Measure how much resolution concurrency your own DNS provider handles
- Compare how different providers behave under sustained load
- Take a baseline before you switch DNS providers
