If you own an entire server, or have a VPS or cloud server, then you need a server security software. Here I’d like to recommend a server-side security software that I really like — SafeDog.

First, let me introduce the versions of SafeDog. Whether your server runs Windows, Linux, or UNIX, SafeDog has a corresponding version — make sure to download the right one. This is responsible for server security protection. If your server also provides IIS website services, it’s recommended to install the SafeDog IIS edition alongside the server edition, which can detect common website attacks such as SQL injection.
My favorite feature is cloud management. If you want to restart the server, toggle the firewall, or do other simple operations, you no longer need to remote desktop into the server — SafeDog’s cloud service handles it easily for you. In SafeDog’s cloud management center, you can operate your server with ease.
In July 2013, SafeDog’s cloud security center launched the cloud backup feature, which is also a feature I really like — it can back up your website data anytime.
