I became a grassroots webmaster back in high school; my own blog has been around for a long time, but the earliest data has been lost and the logo can’t be found.
Looking at the logos used over time, aren’t they clearly more mature? This domain was registered on my 20th birthday; switching to a new domain and new theme was to mark a cutoff from the past. At 20, I welcomed my 2.0 era — not wanting to be childish anymore, though perhaps when I’m in my decades and read this article I’ll also find it childish.
It’s not just the logo that changed. Before, I used domestic servers; now I’ve switched to Hong Kong, still preferring freedom. Although the previous domain was filed, for the new domain I chose not to file. The email also changed from Tencent’s to Microsoft’s Live service — I originally wanted to use Google’s, but Google’s services are no longer free, they’re paid, so I didn’t use it.
The road ahead is still long; I’m still a rookie and need to keep working hard.
