Before I started building websites, like ordinary friends, I used Baidu for search. But since I started building sites, I’ve disliked Baidu.
Take my blog for example: 20 days after launch, Baidu indexed 1 page, 360 Search indexed over 50 pages, and Google indexed 100 pages.
So with Google you can find more things, while with Baidu you lose a lot.
As for content, most of what I write every day is original, typed out by hand. When something gets reposted by others, I find that if it’s reposted by a high-authority site, the search result puts them above you. So Baidu cares more about which site published it and who’s backing it; Google cares about where the source was published and who published it.
Look at the search results again: Baidu’s first page is mostly its own sites — Baidu Baike, Baidu Zhidao, Baidu Video, Baidu Images, Aiqiyl, and so on. What about Google? It treats everyone equally. As long as you violate the webmaster guidelines, it will penalize its own site too. It’s completely user-search-centric.
