I’m writing this mainly to explain things to the webmasters who link to me. You may have noticed that my site’s Google “site” count dropped rapidly, even down to 23. I noticed it early and have already dealt with it; it’s recovering now.
The reason for the drop is that my site returned a large number of 500 internal server errors, not that it was banned for cheating. Please rest assured. Here’s what happened: the site moved from a virtual host to a VPS. This was my first time using a VPS, and the runtime environment had to be set up by myself. Being a first-timer, problems were unavoidable, which caused Google to encounter many 500 errors on its visits. Luckily it’s basically stable now and the site count is gradually recovering.

At its peak there were 523 500 errors in a single day, but when I visited everything was normal, and Baidu and 360 Search were fine — only Google here had the issue, perhaps because Google reacts faster. I’m not sure whether it was really my fault or Baidu Jiasule’s, but luckily it’s slowly recovering now.
