Friends, Merry Christmas!

Christmas (Christmas) is a traditional holiday in the church calendar, the celebration of Christians commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. On Christmas, most Catholic churches hold midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, i.e. the early hours of December 25, while some Protestant denominations also hold midnight worship; both major Christian branches have carol-singing events on Christmas Eve, and then celebrate Christmas on December 25. Another major branch of Christianity — the Orthodox Church — celebrates Christmas on January 7 each year. According to the Gospels, Jesus was born in Bethlehem after the Virgin Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit (also translated as Holy Ghost), while Mary and her husband Joseph were on their way to register for the Roman census. To believers, Jesus’s birth was the fulfillment of the Jewish prophetic plan that the Messiah would come, because Bethlehem was the home of Joseph’s ancestor David’s clan. Although I don’t celebrate foreign holidays, it has become internationalized, so I’ve given the blog a bit of atmosphere too.
