Neil’s system environment is Windows 8.1 Pro x64, with IE 11 bundled. But recently I found IE 11 wouldn’t open — clicking the IE icon, no response at all. I had to use other browsers for a few days. Searching online, I found this was an isolated case, so the problem must be on my own end. Uninstalling IE 11 and reinstalling it, I fiddled for a long time and still couldn’t use it. Speaking of repairing the browser, the security software commonly used by Chinese people generally has this function. Neil installed Tencent’s PC Manager; I looked and it really had it, and it repaired it smoothly. Below is the repair process — very simple. First, find the “Computer Clinic” in PC Manager
Then click “Internet Abnormalities”
Then click “IE Won’t Open”
After its reset, IE 11 opened.
