Today is the 5th day since the blog moved and changed its domain — that is, the 4th day since the search engines received my address change request. Let’s see how the major search engines performed.
Google: 149 items transferred
Baidu: 1 item (homepage)
360 Search: 12 items
The rest are basically zero; these are the three commonly used ones.
Google indexed most of the content, and the response speed is fast. Baidu is always reserved, taking a long time to decide. 360 is in between. My usage habit is also slowly shifting from Baidu to Google, because on Google you can find more content; Baidu, you know how it is. Notify Google and Baidu of my address change to speed up processing
In Google Webmaster Tools, add and verify ownership of the new domain, then click the old domain, enter the management panel, click the gear in the upper right, click “Change of Address,” select the already-verified new domain, and submit. The notice is valid for 180 days; if your site has many links, you can submit again after expiry to extend the effective period.
In Baidu Webmaster Tools, the operation is similar, under “Site Configuration” → “Site Revamp,” meaning the same as Google’s.
