With nothing to do today, I prepared to upgrade the system to 8.1, and also show you what 8.1 looks like.
First, you may need 6 hours or even longer to install the update. Back up your operating system before proceeding.
I started downloading the update from the Windows Store at 12:30, and finished installing at 18:30.
After the update was installed, the browser was also upgraded to IE11, the Start button appeared, but it’s not the old Start menu — it’s the Metro menu.
Also, this appeared in the Metro menu:
a down button that takes you to a list of all installed apps. Other than that I don’t feel much has changed, except the Metro menu background can now use the desktop background.
