Sometimes in Google search results you can see the author’s avatar. Actually this is very simple.
Google showing the author has probably been around for a while — it seems to have appeared in 2010. How do you let Google show your avatar?
First, you need a Google+ account, because the avatar comes from your Google+ account, as does the profile. If you don’t have one, go register for one on Google.
There are two ways to declare the author in a web page:

Add the author’s Google+ profile page link in the page: Renfei Replace my Google+ link with your own, then go to Google+ and add the site you’re writing on.

Use domain verification. For example, if I write articles at blog.renfei.net, you can use i@renfei.net, an email ending in renfei.net, to verify, and then go to Google+ to add the site.
Domestic users may not be able to access Google+, so figure something out yourself.
